Biological Anthropology aims to understand human biological variation, evolution, and adaptation in relation to environment, culture, and behavior. It focuses on the biological basis of human life, from past to present populations. The scope of Biological Anthropology includes the study of human evolution, genetics, growth and development, primatology, skeletal biology, and human adaptability to ecological and cultural conditions. It also examines health, nutrition, and disease patterns to understand the interaction between biology and society.
