I am a bio-cultural Anthropologist working in the Central, Eastern and North-Eastern parts of India. My research explores the bio-cultural facets of Food, Nutrition, and Health among vulnerable people, specifically "scheduled tribes" in India. My specific interest investigates the inter-relationship between food, culture & society and its reflection on human health. Presently, I am working on food security issues among the indigenous communities of South, South-East, and Asia Pacific countries, aiming to revitalize traditional diets to mitigate the triple burden of malnutrition.
